It is mandatory for all members to serve on at least one Committee. As committee Forums are closed to non-committee members, a General Discussion Forum has been included here for members to communicate committee/ ACSIL business to the entire organization. Code of Practice
The Code of Practice Committee's mission is to make recommendations for stock footage industry best practices. The increasingly heterogeneous rights language in stock footage license agreements due to quickly developing new markets and media has been addressed in a Glossary that tries to standardize licensing terms and practices. Standardizing and therefore simplifying the overall licensing process is a common goal for licensors and licensees alike. Aside from the Glossary, the Codes of Practice Committee is working on white papers on issues like "Why ACSIL"and "VOD Rights", as well as a new matrix to help redefine commonly licensed markets. Publications created by the Code of Practice Committee are free to ACSIL members.

It includes information on ACSIL members and links to their site, membership information, downloadable publications by the Codes of Practice committee (members only), and discussion forums or blogs where members can exchange information on issues facing the stock footage industry.

The Market and Global Sizing Committee is one of the mission committees of ACSIL. Mandated to look into the economics and the future markets for stock footage, the group has commissioned the first major study of the international stock footage industry - the first of its kind to be undertaken directly by members from within the industry, to try to evaluate the future world of stock footage. Future research studies into industry issues will follow.
